WOW, having coached you in baseball many years ago and watching you grow into the man you have become is so rewarding!! This write up is incredible well done. I have shopped with your Dad for so many years and he is the most honest and reasonable business man I have ever met!! Please continue the bond you guys have for the rest of your lives, it is so rewarding for BOTH of you.
Great story. It certainly brings back memories when you discuss how you would get together in person and trade cards with friends. Having a card in your hand to trade and deciding if a deal was worthwhile at a young age is something that I can only hope some kids get to experience today. It sounds like your father's store was great for that kind of in-person experience that many of us miss. Card shops used to be seemingly everywhere in the 80s and 90s. They were fantastic.
I also recall the days when using newspapers for fantasy baseball and basketball was the big thing. There's something great about stepping away from technology and actually using paper to do research. I'm glad you and your father had those experiences together.

Thanks so much Joel, I really appreciate this!
Wonderful story about dads, sons and baseball. “The Comeback” and your Dad as the fuel for your interest in fantasy baseball. Very cool.
Congrats to your dad, Brendan! It’s very cool to see how our paths have crossed in more ways than one with fantasy and sports cards.

What a tribute!
Beautiful story Brendan
Great story, Brendan. My dream has always been to own my own card shop. Maybe after I retire..
